Justyna Krzyżanowska is a harpist and photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden always bringing fresh ideas and positive thinking into all collaborations she's involved in. Having been educated both in classical and traditional music, she has a huge variety of interests and curiosity to discover new fields, both in regards to music genres and other forms of art.
Justyna plays pedal and lever harp professionally and is mostly interested in improvised music such as folk, pop and jazz, but also plays classically for weddings, events and with orchestras (Västerås Sinfonietta). Involved in a number of bands, she performs with her folk duo Woodlands (Norrköpings Folkmusikfestival 2020, GBG Folkmusikfestival 2020, Urkult 2019) with fiddle player Kristina Leesik, her Scottish duo with fiddle player Chloë Bryce, NAORA (Piping Live! 2019) with French piper and singer Enora Morice as well as the 26-piece funk band LYRC (Pustervik 2019). She enjoys challenges, using the harp in new imaginative ways and is never afraid to try out something different, keeping creativity and dedication as her mottos.
Photography and making videos are also her passion. She is collaborating with a lot of artists and musicians (Rosa Kvartetten, Daina Mateikaite, Lucie Hendry, Made of Clew) to create both still pictures and music videos for promotional purposes, and is quickly developing her own style.
