Flora and Fauna plays original music written by Celtic harpists, Justyna Krzyżanowska and Lucie Hendry. Hailing from Sweden and Scotland, their musical partnership blossomed from a mutual love for folk music traditions.
Their sonic tapestry weaves together lush melodies, heavy grooves and hypnotic sounds as they blend two harps with synthesizers, vocals, drums and bass.
Inspired by Medieval myths and legends, the music explores both real and mythical realms. Tracks like ‘Wolf and Hare’, ‘Nightingale’s Song’, and ‘The Prancing Gryphon’ breathe life into creatures from ancient lore which can be found in bestiaries - artistic collections of stories about animals and plants.
Flora and Fauna have collaborated with jazz and folk musicians from Denmark and Sweden to form a unique cross- cultural band that will take audiences on an uplifting journey through a modern day musical bestiary.
